The National Education Debate Association (NEDA) believes that debate should be a practical educational experience and that performance by participants should reflect the stylistic and analytical skills that would be rewarded in typical public forums (i.e. courts, congress, the classroom, civic gatherings, etc.). To facilitate this mission, NEDA hosts a variety of tournament events open to students and directors willing to abide by and enforce NEDA standards of ethical, responsible, humane and communicative advocacy.
This site provides an informative and educational experience for you. You should be able to begin to understand the basics of what debate is, how it fits into the core of education, and how you can become involved.
